Store Manager

We are looking for an organized, hands-on, and customer-focused Store Manager to join the Semillas team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating welcoming retail experiences, loves plants and flowers, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in keeping a shop organized, stocked, and ready for customers every day.

This role is for someone who naturally notices the details. Someone who sees an empty shelf and knows it needs to be restocked, recognizes when a display needs a refresh, and takes ownership of keeping the shop looking and feeling its best. The Store Manager will help lead daily retail operations while supporting the team, customers, inventory, merchandising, and overall experience of the shop.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily retail operations, including opening and closing.

  • Keep the shop clean, organized, stocked, and retail-ready.

  • Support and lead the retail team during daily operations.

  • Provide a warm, thoughtful customer experience.

  • Manage inventory, restocking, receiving, and back-of-house organization.

  • Maintain merchandising, displays, signage, and overall shop presentation.

  • Identify operational needs and communicate them to leadership.

  • Support events, activations, and special programming as needed.

  • Help maintain the overall look, feel, and hospitality of Semillas.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience.

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Comfortable working hands-on with people, products, and the physical shop.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • POS and inventory experience is a plus.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Plant/floral knowledge is a plus

Hours & Rate

  • $22-$25/HR

  • 30 hours minimum
